Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in fields such as Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, English, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline is typically required, along with 5 to 8 years of experience in supply management.
  • A Master's Degree in Business Administration or other advanced qualifications is highly desirable.
  • A valid California driver's license is necessary.
  • Experience in purchasing materials and/or services is required, with a successful track record in executing purchases and/or 2 to 4 years of expertise in specific services or materials.
  • Certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or similar professional credentials in Supply Management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in contracting and supply management principles is essential.
  • Familiarity with contract management and/or accounting systems is beneficial.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel is required.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely, are crucial.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify customer needs, demonstrating responsiveness to both internal and external clients, is important for enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • A collaborative spirit that values team contributions and encourages participation is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather relevant information systematically and define issues comprehensively are necessary.
  • Integrity in all communications, decisions, and actions is expected.
  • A results-driven mindset with high performance standards for oneself and others is required.

Responsibilities:

  • The individual will support the Supply Operations team.
  • Manage and execute daily procurement activities, including Purchase Orders and various agreements for materials and services, while addressing any invoicing or billing issues that may arise.
  • Create, negotiate, and finalize Purchase Orders, Releases, Amendments, Assignments, and other low to moderate value/risk contracts primarily for services and some materials, utilizing company systems and approved templates.
  • Experience with SAP Ariba Sourcing Software and SAP Ariba Contracts Management Software is highly desirable.
  • Oversee the establishment and maintenance of new suppliers.
  • Provide ongoing assistance to clients in proper contract management and administration principles.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, including Law, Accounts Payable, and Risk Management.
  • Resolve conflicts between suppliers and the company.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, focusing on simplification and compliance, while maintaining documentation through tracking spreadsheets.
  • Keep records to demonstrate adherence to proper protocols in contracting processes and supplier relationship management.
  • Ensure optimal use of all Purchase to Pay tools.
  • Address Purchase Order and invoicing issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a focus on contributing to Supplier Diversity and Diverse Business Enterprises (DBE) goals.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with teams and suppliers to minimize overall costs.
  • Perform additional Supply Management duties and tasks as assigned.
