Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist will oversee daily responsibilities assigned by the Purchasing and Sourcing Manager, alongside all routine tasks.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update purchase orders and related Excel documents for external processing.
  • Source raw materials and services as required.
  • Ensure adherence to purchasing protocols.
  • Establish strategic stocking agreements with suppliers, including Kan-Ban, Consignment, and VMI.
  • Propose strategies to minimize inventory levels and enhance inventory turnover.
  • Provide solutions aimed at reducing overall costs and actively pursue material productivity initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of market trends concerning critical raw materials.
  • Address invoice discrepancies as necessary.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with both current and prospective suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance using a supplier scorecard.
  • Execute additional related tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure accurate stock levels based on sales data and forecasts.
  • Foster and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.
  • Review business processes thoroughly, seeking opportunities to cut costs while maximizing value for the organization.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, identifying and resolving supply chain challenges.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capacity to learn Oracle ERP systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and similar applications.
  • Aptitude for maintaining confidentiality.
  • Eligibility to work in the US without restrictions related to ITAR documentation and materials.
  • Must be a US citizen, legal permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.

Benefits

Knowles Precision Devices is dedicated to offering a competitive and equitable total compensation package for all employees.

The starting hourly wage for this position is targeted at $20.00.

Compensation decisions are influenced by various factors, including prior experience, skills acquired before joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, work schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers within the company. It is anticipated that candidates will present diverse skill sets and experiences, resulting in varying compensation within the stated range. We acknowledge that selected candidates may possess different levels of experience than the role as advertised; any adjustments to available salary ranges will be communicated during the recruitment process.
