About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at the City of Salt Lake City. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our extensive building systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and complete emergency and routine trouble calls, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and passengers.
  • Act as a personal representative of the Director of Engineering and Maintenance, overseeing a team of maintenance supervisors, technicians, and skilled workers.
  • Direct and coordinate maintenance efforts, including repairs, maintenance, and restoral of services.
  • Operate and monitor a complex Computerized Building Management System to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
  • Conform to FAA Standards and Regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years journey level job-related work experience and training with maintenance equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and hazards and application of accident prevention measures associated with the operation of equipment.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license or driving privilege card.
  • Must possess one or more of the following: Salt Lake City Steam Engineers - Unlimited License; CFC Certification, Fire Extinguisher Certification.
Working Conditions
  • Moderately heavy physical activity required to push, pull or lift heavy weights up to 100 pounds from 10% to 15% of the work time.
  • High exposure to disagreeable elements such as dust, fumes, noise, dampness, cold, heat, chemicals, or grease.
  • Considerable stress under emergency situations, time constraints of tenants and airport operations, and possible injury and/or death.
