Job Overview

Dogwood Industries LLC is on the lookout for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role involves not only standard facility upkeep but also executing both preventive and reactive maintenance on production machinery within our metals fabrication facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize diagnostic tools to detect and resolve equipment issues
  • Implement modifications to machinery as instructed by management
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems
  • Set up machinery, including leveling, anchoring, and adjusting components
  • Conduct disassembly and repair of small tools
  • Manage inventory of spare and consumable parts
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs within the facility
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

  • Proficient in following maintenance schedules as per manufacturer guidelines
  • Committed to safety and adherence to company safety protocols
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
  • Capable of interpreting schematic diagrams
  • Able to read and comprehend equipment manuals
  • Competent in ordering parts for small tools
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain a tidy workspace and equipment
  • Knowledgeable about OSHA safety regulations

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience with 480V 3-phase cord and plug repairs
  • Capability to perform maintenance on bridge cranes and hoists
  • Basic welding abilities
  • Technical degree (two-year)
  • Forklift operation experience
  • Basic carpentry skills
  • Fundamental computer skills

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in maintaining industrial machinery or related fields

Physical Demands

The physical requirements for this position include a full range of mobility in both upper and lower body, the ability to reach overhead, and the capacity to work in various positions such as standing, sitting, kneeling, and squatting. The role requires handling, feeling objects, tools, or controls, climbing stairs, and maintaining balance for extended periods. Candidates should be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment, with occasional lifting of up to 70 lbs. The work environment may expose employees to noise, dust, fumes, and odors, necessitating physical activity in a production setting.
