Responsibilities:


Uphold and enforce all compliance standards and policies, executing responsibilities in an ethical manner that aligns with the organization's core values; adhere to institutional policies, including confidentiality; assist in the orientation of new personnel as required; oversee a range of technical staff as assigned; install, maintain, operate, and repair electric motors, generators, and associated electrical and mechanical apparatus using appropriate hand and power tools; install, maintain, and repair lighting systems, circuitry components, alarm systems, plumbing systems, and components such as piping, valves, sinks, sanitary fixtures, and fire suppression systems; manage HVAC systems and components including boilers, steam and gas piping and valves, chillers, pumps, direct expansion units, ventilation and exhaust fans, pneumatic and electric control systems, and medical gas systems; conduct chemical treatment assessments for boilers and cooling water; perform various construction, installation, repair, and modifications to: brick, concrete, and other masonry structures, roofing systems, flooring surfaces such as vinyl and ceramic tile, and carpet, wall structures such as metal studs and drywall, and woodwork including cabinets and furniture; operate power tools and machinery such as lathes, drill presses, threading machines, grinding machines, and welding equipment; apply proper body mechanics to transport equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.; utilize assistive devices or seek help to move equipment exceeding 50 lbs; ascend ladders and scaffolding and navigate confined, obstructed, and challenging spaces and equipment while executing assigned tasks; communicate effectively and employ appropriate customer service skills with physicians, patients, families, and other hospital personnel both in person and via telephone; respond to overhead announcements; utilize radio communication appropriately and respond promptly; maintain accurate and comprehensive records by completing requisitions for material purchases with correct pricing; document and report all data related to preventive maintenance; log accurate readings on all equipment; record unfinished tasks, parts ordered, and estimated completion dates; fulfill all mandatory unit, educational, and hospital requirements; implement cost-effective practices in all job aspects; comply with current Infection Control and Safety Standards; perform minor electrical installations and repairs; conduct HVAC maintenance; manage all keying of locks for the facility; maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to adhere to the defined work schedule and overtime as necessary; perform related duties as required.


Qualifications:


A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with three years of experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing, or mechanical systems.

Experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.


Specific positions may necessitate possession of a valid driver's license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to meet insurance coverage requirements.
