Role Summary:

The primary objective of the Apprenticeship Technical Trainer position is to deliver comprehensive training for apprentices while enhancing the skills of current employees in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pneumatics, and hydraulics. This role involves the strategic planning, organization, and execution of effective training programs to cultivate technical expertise among participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement training sessions for apprentices and existing staff, ensuring alignment with educational standards and organizational objectives.
  • Provide essential materials, machinery, and tools for practical training experiences, fostering an effective learning atmosphere.
  • Create training documentation and resources, including manuals, presentations, and simulations, to facilitate instructional delivery.
  • Conduct training sessions that cover essential qualifications and technical skills, employing diverse teaching methods to engage participants.
  • Organize and lead tutoring sessions to support apprentices' educational journeys, offering guidance and assistance as required.
  • Prepare apprentices for assessments through thorough review sessions and practice evaluations.
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on departmental assessments, project work, and technical discussions to monitor trainees' development.
  • Coordinate both internal and external training initiatives, collaborating with HR and other stakeholders to enhance educational opportunities.
  • Design and conduct guided tours and presentations for educational institutions to promote vocational training and attract prospective apprentices.
  • Engage in apprentice-related events, fostering connections and networking among trainees and industry professionals.
  • Support the recruitment of future apprentices by promoting apprenticeship programs and conducting informational sessions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience in a technical training capacity, particularly in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pneumatics, and hydraulics, is preferred but not essential.
  • A background in the maintenance of mechatronic systems or machinery is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training program management is beneficial.

Essential Skills:

  • Completion of technical education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Certification in trainer education from the Corporate Academy or equivalent program.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in IT tools and software for the development and delivery of training materials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth to remain informed about industry trends and best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training-related assignments and events.
  • Ability to adapt training methods and materials to accommodate various learning styles and preferences.
  • Demonstrated capacity to organize and prioritize tasks effectively to achieve training goals and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging and effective training programs.
