Key Responsibilities:
The primary objective of the Apprenticeship Technical Trainer role is to deliver thorough training for apprentices and enhance the skills of current employees in areas such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pneumatics, and hydraulics. This entails the planning, organization, and execution of effective training programs to foster technical proficiency and knowledge among participants.
Core Activities Include:
- Designing and organizing training sessions for apprentices and current staff, ensuring alignment with educational standards and company objectives.
- Providing essential materials, machinery, and tools for practical training experiences, creating an optimal learning atmosphere.
- Developing instructional documents and resources, including manuals, presentations, and simulations, to facilitate effective teaching.
- Conducting training sessions that cover essential qualifications and technical skills, employing diverse instructional techniques to engage participants.
- Facilitating tutoring sessions to support apprentices' educational journeys, offering guidance and assistance as required.
- Preparing apprentices for assessments through comprehensive review sessions and practice evaluations.
- Evaluating and providing constructive feedback on departmental assessments, project work, and technical discussions to monitor trainees' development.
- Coordinating both internal and external training initiatives, collaborating with HR and other departments to enhance educational opportunities.
- Creating and delivering guided tours and presentations for educational institutions to promote vocational training and attract prospective apprentices.
- Participating in apprentice-related events, fostering engagement and networking among trainees and industry professionals.
- Assisting in the recruitment of future apprentices by promoting training programs and conducting informational sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience in a technical training capacity, particularly in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pneumatics, and hydraulics, is preferred but not mandatory.
- A background in the maintenance of mechatronic systems or machinery is highly desirable.
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training program management is advantageous.
Essential Skills:
- Completion of technical education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Certification in trainer education from a recognized institution or equivalent.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to convey technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Proficiency in IT tools and software for the development and delivery of training materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth to remain informed about industry advancements and best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training-related assignments and events.
- Ability to adapt training methodologies and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences.
- Demonstrated capability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively to achieve training goals and deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design strategies to create engaging and effective training programs.
