Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Physical Education/Kinesiology to join our faculty team at College of the Canyons. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in Physical Education/Kinesiology, including exercise science, physiology of exercise, and adaptive physical education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of courses in Physical Education/Kinesiology, including exercise science, physiology of exercise, and adaptive physical education
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and success
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, including curriculum development and professional development
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Education with an emphasis in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Physiology of Exercise, or Adaptive Physical Education
  • OR - Bachelor's degree in any of the above and Master's degree in any Life Science, Dance, Physiology, Health Education, Recreation Administration, or Physical Therapy
  • OR - Equivalency Option 1: An official transcript documenting successful completion of any Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education and official transcripts documenting successful completion of 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level, a minimum of which must be 12 graduate level semester units
Working Conditions

Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
