Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Anthropology to join our faculty team at College of the Canyons. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Anthropology courses and contributing to the development of our academic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Anthropology courses, including lectures, discussions, and labs
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with departmental and college goals
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Anthropology and incorporate new knowledge into teaching and research
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Anthropology or a related field
  • OR - Bachelor's degree in Anthropology or a related field and a Master's degree in a related field
  • OR - Equivalency: An official transcript documenting successful completion of a Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education and official transcripts documenting successful completion of 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in Anthropology
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
