About the Role

The Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to drive the organization's mission forward. As a transformational leader and business visionary, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a forward-thinking strategic plan to position the Chamber as an advocate and catalyst for economic growth and community development in Palm Beach County.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Assist in developing and implementing a strategic plan to drive the Chamber's mission and vision.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for business-friendly policies at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Innovative Program Development: Design and launch effective and innovative programs and events that address the evolving needs of members and the business community.
  • Member Engagement and Growth: Expand the Chamber's membership base by engaging with emerging businesses and industries.
  • Financial Stewardship and Staff Development: Oversee the Chamber's financial health, including budgeting, revenue generation, and financial reporting.
  • Community and Economic Development: Serve as a key liaison between the business community, government agencies, and elected officials.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role within a relevant field.
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership and innovation in business, nonprofit, or chamber of commerce settings.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and media relations skills.
  • Experience in board reporting is strongly desired.
  • Passion for community development and a deep understanding of the economic landscape of Palm Beach County, Florida, and the nation.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of political and legislative practices.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; advanced degree and relevant certifications in Nonprofit, Business, Organizational Management, or Fundraising are a plus.
