Bariatric Behavioral Coach Job Description

Job Summary:

The Bariatric Behavioral Coach plays a vital role in the multidisciplinary team at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic PA, providing behavioral health evaluations and support for patients undergoing bariatric surgery. This position requires a strong understanding of health behavior change and the ability to relate sensitively to patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough behavioral health evaluations for bariatric surgery patients, including assessments and screenings.
  • Develop and implement personalized behavioral/lifestyle coaching plans to promote safe and favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with patients to set and achieve health and weight loss goals.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients participating in medical weight loss programming.
  • Screen patients for special needs and accommodate as necessary within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Document patient information and medical records in a professional and timely manner.
  • Engage in program social media activities and develop support groups for patients.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field, with a license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Current North Carolina driver's license.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
