Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Lead Civil Engineering Specialist to enhance our Site Development & Civil team. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in site planning, roadway design, stormwater management, grading, drainage, and utility systems. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier engineers and project managers, gaining invaluable insights and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee engineering design and provide support for a diverse range of utility, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
  • Implement engineering best practices across various assignments, adapting swiftly to new challenges.
  • Engage in all facets of project execution, including design development, construction oversight, project management, and client interactions.
  • Create detailed sketches, drawings, and specifications based on verbal or written guidelines.
  • Conduct engineering analyses and calculations to inform project decisions.
  • Organize and prepare comprehensive design documents.
  • Research and compile reports and technical opinions.
  • Utilize advanced engineering software for design and documentation.
  • Develop project specifications and perform construction cost assessments.
  • Facilitate project approvals through various regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct site evaluations, surveys, and inspections to support civil infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification required or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • 5-15 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Proficient in land development, grading, drainage, erosion control, stormwater management, and utility design.
  • Extensive experience with engineering design software, including Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and a dependable work ethic.
