Rinker Design Associates is seeking experienced professionals in the field of transportation engineering. This role offers significant opportunities for leadership in various aspects of traffic analysis, multimodal operations, and innovative transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate technical discussions and guide the creation of traffic design projects.
- Conduct project meetings and deliver presentations on traffic design elements.
- Provide design assistance across multiple projects and take the lead on smaller initiatives.
- Ensure high-quality standards in work products and oversee quality control for team members.
- Engage with clients, agency representatives, and contractors to foster collaboration.
- Support project management with adherence to schedules and budget constraints.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Virginia is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering design is essential.
- Familiarity with VDOT and local governmental policies is advantageous.
- Strong technical expertise in traffic design, with knowledge of VDOT, AASHTO, and FHWA standards, as well as HCM, MUTCD, and PROWAG guidelines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Proficiency in CADD/Design Software such as MicroStation, InRoads, Geopak, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Synchro, and HCS is preferred.
