Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Tustin Group is seeking a skilled HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to handle all facets of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that we meet and exceed both customer expectations and industry standards, thereby enhancing overall customer satisfaction through dedicated service and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and proactively identify potential issues to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with various HVAC and refrigeration systems effectively.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers to accurately determine necessary components for repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain problems and provide suitable solutions.
  • Ensure timely completion of daily service reports and documentation.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience and Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
  • Vocational or Associate Degree in mechanical systems, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Possession of EPA universal certification.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary for operating a company vehicle.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and availability for on-call duties is required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment substance screening and background investigation.
  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work primarily occurs outdoors, with some tasks performed in an office setting.
  • Hand-eye coordination is essential for operating computers and various office equipment.
  • Regular use of hands for handling tools and controls, along with reaching and stretching, is necessary.
  • Frequent activities include standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights is required.
  • Occasional lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds is necessary.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The role involves working in various weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and in elevated or precarious locations. Candidates should be prepared for exposure to wet and humid conditions, airborne particles, and confined spaces.
