Collaboration with educational staff is essential to monitor academic progress and provide necessary assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee youth engagement with online educational resources,
- Implement various instructional materials to enhance learning experiences,
- Serve as a positive role model and advisor for the youth,
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques and report any concerning behaviors to administration,
- Facilitate regular advisory sessions to track academic progress,
- Provide intervention strategies to assist youth in understanding course material,
- Engage with youth and their guardians to address academic challenges,
- Support career development initiatives for eligible youth,
- Encourage youth through motivational incentives and monitoring techniques,
- Adopt a hands-on approach to tutoring,
- Ensure compliance with program implementation standards,
- Maintain consistent work habits, including punctuality,
- Obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications from recognized organizations,
- Administer first aid and CPR during emergencies in line with national standards,
- Participate in crisis intervention training as per state and contract requirements,
- Engage in recreational activities and assist with facility maintenance,
- Contribute to special projects and other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree is preferred,
- Minimum of two years of experience working with middle or high school-aged youth.
