Job Title: Human Resources Clerk

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Clerk will serve as the initial point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. This role will be responsible for maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents, and updating internal databases. The successful candidate will have experience with HR procedures and the ability to multitask various administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Update internal databases, including employee information and leave records
  • Prepare monthly employee census and provide reports to leadership as needed
  • Answer routine employee queries about HR-related issues, providing guidance and support
  • Act as a resource for payroll/HR contacts, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
  • Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the AVP of HR or VP of People and Culture
  • Perform clerical functions, including data entry, scanning, and emailing documents
  • Order company supplies and ensure accurate distribution to locations
  • Prepare new-employee files and maintain employee records
  • Prepare correspondence and assist with the recruiting process, including job descriptions, posting positions, and tracking applicants
  • Provide onboarding and employee assistance, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees
  • Assist in processing multi-state payroll and related activities, including wage calculations and benefit reporting
  • Stay current on legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR, ensuring compliance and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in human resources or a related field, or four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn HRIS, benefit, and payroll systems
  • ADP experience strongly preferred

Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment, with standard office equipment and software. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with little to no travel expected.
