About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assets Protection Team Leader to join our team at Target. As a key member of our Assets Protection team, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly team members and implementing strategies to prevent and respond to external theft incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of hourly team members to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for our guests.
  • Implement department AP daily/weekly workload priorities to support business priorities and deliver on goals.
  • Respond to external theft incidents and prevent future theft by identifying and addressing shortage risks in key divisions.
  • Partner with store business leaders to educate and support them on operational shortage priorities.
  • Develop and lead a team of hourly team members to elevate their skills and expertise in areas such as crisis response, safety procedures, and merchandise protection.
Requirements
  • Age 18 or older.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
  • Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage your workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude.
  • Effective communication skills.
