About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Leader to lead our department in achieving divisional goals and objectives. The successful candidate will direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering and maintenance projects at our facility.

Your Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.
  • Implement and support Magna's operating principles.
  • Develop and execute a preventive maintenance program to drive uptime improvement efforts.
  • Ensure proper staffing, training, tools, and maintenance plans are in place to maximize equipment availability in the most cost-efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments and team members to drive root cause identification and maintenance reduction/elimination activities.
  • Identify, implement, and verify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and report KPIs and performance metrics, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain the Business Management System to support ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14001.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, OSHA, and other federal or state regulations.
  • Lead, schedule, and direct maintenance technicians based on skill set requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current job classification of a Maintenance Tech II or above.
  • Minimum four years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Minimum four years of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Proven knowledge of operations, manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage data at a detail level.
  • Business acumen and ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Creative thinker with ability to define, implement, and lead process improvement activities.
  • Able to address and resolve ambiguity, prioritize, multi-task, and work independently.
