You will function as a highly skilled program manager, overseeing the comprehensive management and integration necessary to balance various elements that establish shipbuilding program priorities, milestones, and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager on all facets of program integration, planning, and strategic considerations.
- Provide guidance to Principal Assistant Program Managers and Project Managers in the development, organization, analysis, execution, and monitoring of planned requirements.
- Ensure the application of overarching policies and regulations, delivering high-quality and actionable outcomes.
- Act as the program office lead for all foreign military sales and international military engagements.
- Formulate program, budget, contract, and execution plans for the aircraft carrier New Construction Program.
- Prepare internal and external communications related to the New Construction program to articulate program requirements and manage projects effectively.
- Advise on the application of ship/systems acquisition processes, policies, regulations, principles, and practices relevant to all aspects of program management.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
- Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
- New hires to the Department of the Navy must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Candidates must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to commencing duties.
- This position may require travel to various locations, including remote or isolated sites, and candidates must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Your resume should demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-03 or GS-13) in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, coordinating program requirements or functions.
- Experience should include planning and executing acquisition processes, policies, or regulations for aircraft carrier construction.

- This position is subject to the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
- A tentative offer of employment may be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet pre-employment requirements.
