About the Position

We are in search of a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to become a vital part of our team. While we prefer candidates located near our office hubs, we are also open to considering remote applicants for this position.

About the Team:

The Security team collaborates with infrastructure and feature engineering teams to identify and alleviate risks to the organization. We propose, design, plan, and execute strategic and tactical security enhancements — from developing and deploying new security tools to conducting architecture assessments and threat modeling. Our team is entrusted with staying ahead of malicious actors in an ever-evolving threat landscape.

About the Role:

As a member of the Security Team, you will spearhead initiatives and implement solutions to safeguard our users' and clients' data privacy while ensuring the security of our systems. Your involvement will span all functional areas of Security: engineering and development; advisory and consulting; as well as detection, alerting, and response. You will work closely with key stakeholders to fortify a complex multi-account AWS environment and an extensive array of corporate systems. Your contributions will significantly influence the security posture of the entire organization.

In this Role, You Will:

  • Develop security tools and automation utilizing Infrastructure as Code and serverless frameworks.
  • Create alerting and threat detection capabilities across both corporate and production environments.
  • Provide security expertise throughout our entire technology stack through design reviews and threat modeling.
  • Respond to security incidents, including isolating, mitigating, and investigating active threats.
  • Promote a culture of security within the organization, collaborating with stakeholders across Infrastructure and Engineering teams.

What You Will Need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in security engineering or DevSecOps, particularly focused on AWS and infrastructure security.
  • A comprehensive understanding of secure development best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in developing tools and automation in Python, including testing, documentation, and deployment.
  • Experience with Kubernetes deployment (EKS preferred); familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is a plus.
