Marine Electrical Specialist

Shipyard Staffing LLC is seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and a proven track record of working on marine vessels. Key responsibilities include:
**Electrical Installation and Maintenance**
* Read and interpret shipboard electrical installation drawings, wiring tables, and schematics
* Perform general deck electrician work, including laying and mounting electrical equipment and wire ways
* Install cable penetrations in equipment, bulkheads, and decks
**Electrical Testing and Troubleshooting**
* Use basic electrical meters and test instruments to diagnose and repair electrical issues
* Proficient in the use of basic electrician hand tools, including pliers, wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, and connector crimping tools
**Physical Demands**
* Physically able to climb vertical and inclined stairs and ladders, crawl, bend, stoop, work at heights, and work in confined spaces
* Pass the Stud Shooting training class and the associated vision test
**Requirements**
* Three (3) or more years of experience in the electrical field – Industrial, Marine, or Commercial Nuclear applications
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems and principles
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
