Job Summary

As a Risk Management Specialist at IASIS Healthcare, you will play a critical role in assisting the Director of Quality and Safety in developing and implementing the Hospital-wide Quality and Safety Plan. This plan will be aligned with board-approved plans and regulatory and standard-setting agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Quality and Safety Plan, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Safety Committee, Patient Safety Triage Team, and Performance Improvement Task Forces to identify and address quality and safety issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and FMEA analysis to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and reduce risk.
  • Provide administrative support to the Quality and Safety Department, including attending meetings and tracking quality management issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of hospital tracking systems for quality management issues.
  • Review and analyze incident reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality and safety issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, quality improvement, risk management).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service role or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient safety, risk management, or quality improvement.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and FMEA analysis.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and formulate meaningful information.
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information.
