As a Risk Management Specialist at IASIS Healthcare, you will play a critical role in assisting the Director of Quality and Safety in developing and implementing the Hospital-wide Quality and Safety Plan. This plan will be aligned with board-approved plans and regulatory and standard-setting agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and implementation of the Quality and Safety Plan, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality and Safety Committee, Patient Safety Triage Team, and Performance Improvement Task Forces to identify and address quality and safety issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and FMEA analysis to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and reduce risk.
- Provide administrative support to the Quality and Safety Department, including attending meetings and tracking quality management issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of hospital tracking systems for quality management issues.
- Review and analyze incident reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality and safety issues.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, quality improvement, risk management).
- 1-3 years of experience in a customer service role or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient safety, risk management, or quality improvement.
- Experience with root cause analysis and FMEA analysis.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and formulate meaningful information.
- Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information.
