Job Title: Regional Manager

At The John Stewart Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Manager to join our team. As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a portfolio of communities managed by JSCo.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Management: Hire, train, supervise, develop, and terminate employees in accordance with company policies and directives.
  • Property Oversight: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Accountability: Prepare annual operating and capital budgets, review financial statements, and ensure accuracy of accounting and rent roll reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including fair housing and landlord-tenant laws.
  • Marketing and Leasing: Develop and implement marketing plans, conduct regular inspections, and make recommendations to improve marketing and leasing effectiveness.
  • New Developments: Coordinate start-up of operations, including application process, contract and service procurement, staff hiring and training.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of compliance programs, including HUD, LIHTC, Tax-Exempt Bonds, and California Housing Rehabilitation Program.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant certifications.

This position interacts with internal and external individuals on a regular basis, including employees, managers, and government agencies. It is sometimes necessary to deal with unpleasant or angry people and problem solve difficult situations. Sitting and standing for extended periods of time is necessary, and it is sometimes necessary to lift heavy boxes of documents and move them to a storage room that may be dusty. A valid driver's license is required for extensive driving to various property locations.

Salary Range: $85,000.00/Yr. - $95,000.00/Yr.
