Overview:
Our esteemed client in the Telecommunications and Engineering sector is in search of experienced Protection and Control Engineers at both mid and senior levels to enhance their engineering team.

Role Summary:
The selected candidates will be responsible for delivering comprehensive protection and control design, engineering, and technical support for transmission substation projects. This role is crucial for ensuring the provision of safe, efficient, and high-quality engineering services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of protection and control principles relevant to utility substations and transmission lines.
  • Design protection schemes for various equipment types, including bus, line, capacitor, and transformer systems.
  • Possess a strong understanding of SCADA communication design.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, and timelines for substation P&C design projects.
  • Interpret and engineer P&C designs for utility stations up to 500kV, including one-lines, three-lines, and schematic diagrams.
  • Conduct studies and generate reports on coordination, voltage drop, fault current, and insulation coordination.
  • Oversee junior staff and ensure design accuracy and compliance with client standards.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including construction teams and clients, to address engineering challenges.
  • Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure timely delivery of services.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Engineering program or equivalent qualifications.
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain licensure within one year.
  • Experience in the utility sector is advantageous.
