Position Summary:
Penn Foster Inc is currently in search of a Revenue Accountant to enhance our financial team. We are interested in candidates who are proactive, enthusiastic about learning, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze revenue contracts to ascertain the correct revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
- Address revenue-related inquiries during the annual audit and quarterly review processes with external auditors.
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive policies and procedures related to revenue management.
- Strengthen and uphold internal controls concerning revenue processes.
- Investigate and resolve technical accounting issues related to revenue.
- Assist in the monthly and quarterly financial closing processes.
- Take responsibility for the accounting of specific accounts or processes as assigned.
- Generate ad hoc revenue reports as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in public accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or Chartered Accountant designation.
- Master’s degree in Accounting.
Additional Information:
This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional standing or walking.
