About the Role

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a skilled Veterinary Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the exceptional care and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Support the veterinary staff with daily tasks, including maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with the restraint of animals during exams and procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of both patients and staff.
  • Monitor and report any health concerns to senior staff, providing critical support in maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Keep accurate patient records and sterilize equipment, adhering to strict protocols for infection control and patient safety.
  • Assist with dental procedures, surgeries, and post-operative care, demonstrating a commitment to providing comprehensive care.
  • Collect samples, administer medications as directed, and fill medications, showcasing your attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Requirements
  • 6+ months of experience in a veterinary clinic or current enrollment in a Veterinary Assistant or Technician program.
