Electronics Technician 2 Position

Are you an experienced electronics technician looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment? If so, we encourage you to apply for the Electronics Technician 2 position in our Radio Communication Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, test, and repair electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, including two-way radios, scientific equipment, and traffic signal equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electronic equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosing faults.
- Use electronic laboratory standards and other test equipment to make measurements and tests as required by Federal Communications Commission rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues and improve system performance.
- Document and maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules and repair histories.
Requirements:
- Four (4) years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of electronic equipment.
- College training in electronics or a related field may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years for an Associate's degree.
- At least 2 years of experience installing and repairing mobile electronics.
- At least 2 years of experience with land mobile radio (LMR) and associated 12-volt vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with electronic test equipment such as digital volt meters, watt meters, frequency, network, and spectrum analyzers.
Working Conditions:
