Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Definitive Observation Unit. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the DOU units. The ideal candidate will be a supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for the vulnerable patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to assigned patients in the DOU units
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Requirements
  • Current California R.N. Licensure
  • Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
  • Minimum of (1) year nursing experience in Definitive Observation/ Step Down/ Progressive Care Setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
