Position Overview

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting, working in conjunction with a diverse team of professionals to deliver exceptional imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Quality: Ensure high standards of imaging are maintained throughout all procedures.
  • Collaborative Support: Assist Radiologists in executing both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
  • Image Management: Handle the processing and transmission of images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Must possess a current State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Certification: A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology is mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year in acute clinical radiology and as a nuclear medicine technologist is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of both mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Anatomy Knowledge: Extensive understanding of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
  • Education: Graduate from a program accredited by JRCNMT or CAMRT.
  • Basic Life Support: Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills are necessary for effective job performance.
Additional Requirements
  • Completion of Form I-9 for Employment Eligibility Verification.
  • Valid Picture ID is necessary.
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications may be required based on departmental needs.
  • Proof of current licensure and Primary Source Verification are mandatory.
  • IV Certification and Fire Card may be required for specific roles.
  • Completion of competency exams and training certificates as outlined in the job requirements.
