Position Overview

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, working in tandem with various professionals to deliver exceptional imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality imaging services to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with Radiologists to enhance patient care.
  • Ensure accurate processing and transmission of images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Certification from A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B. in Nuclear Medicine Technology is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in acute clinical radiology.
  • At least one year of professional experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.
  • Familiarity with both mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Graduation from a program accredited by JRCNMT or CAMRT.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
  • Strong computer proficiency is essential.
Additional Requirements
  • Completion of Form I-9 for Employment Eligibility Verification.
  • Submission of a valid Picture ID.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP may be required based on departmental needs.
  • Proof of current licensure and Primary Source Verification.
  • IV Certification for LVN/LPN is necessary.
  • Completion of various training and competency exams as specified.

All candidates must also provide a photo for identification purposes and review the EMTALA Manual prior to commencement of duties.
