Position Overview:

The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position is integral to the operations of Swire Pacific Holdings Inc., a leading bottler and distributor of renowned beverage brands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to mitigate risks associated with unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Identify and report safety hazards to management and safety representatives.
  • Oversee sanitation and hygiene practices in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) applicable to food processing.
  • Conduct standardized quality assessments during production, documenting findings in electronic systems and reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines related to Quality, Environment, Safety, and Food Safety.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO-GFSI standards, FDA-FSMA regulations, and company food safety initiatives.
  • Possess the authority to halt production if products do not meet specifications or if food safety issues arise.
  • Perform analytical testing on incoming, in-process, and finished products, including but not limited to pH, acidity, and microbiological assessments.
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any issues with systems and processes.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance management team with designated projects and initiatives.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts, including lean practices and safety programs.
  • Commit to personal and professional development to contribute to a world-class manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Food Plant Quality Assurance or equivalent production experience.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety and hazardous material handling is essential.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
