Job Title: Staff Accountant

At Aston Carter, we are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform closing processes for month-end according to client deadlines
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Provide support to the Controller for key accounting functions, including inventory valuation, excess and obsolescence reserve calculations, monthly inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, and coordination of annual physical observations
  • Assist in month-end close process by providing analysis of results as guided by Controller
  • Track and record monthly capital expenditures, properly capitalizing PP&E, monitor CAPEX for cash flow spend by project
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience as a staff accountant
  • Experience with reconciliations and the month end close process
  • Strong Excel skills
  • ERP experience helpful
