SUMMARY: Manages and coordinates all warehouse activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established procedures; implements practices that improve the effectiveness and financial performance of the supply chain. Manages inventory control and storage. Maintains database accuracy. Maintains overall building maintenance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead warehouse associates, which includes shipping and receiving, harvesting, inventory personal, in following RSTI's procedures and processes that have been put in place, in order to be more productive and organized.
- Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops warehouse staff; manages schedules and workflows.
- Overseeing inventory accuracy, which includes making sure harvested items are properly identified and all necessary items are harvested from systems. Inspect harvested items prior to being inventoried. Perform spot audits to ensure inventory is accurate and up to date. Ensure inventory is organized and not overcrowded. Maintain strict inventory control.
- Create an ongoing plan for the warehouse associates and having a follow up system, to ensure work is being completed in a timely fashion and in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure warehouse associates are technically up to date on all equipment and parts they will be dealing with.
- Ensures accurate and timely shipments and receipts.
- Process returned, rejected, and obsolete parts.
- Maintains accurate records, metrics and inventory audits as necessary.
- Performs quarterly and/or annual physical inventories; provides inventory reports.
- Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures.
- Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective action.
- Provides day to day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
- Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
- Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Monitor department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
- Work with the Director of Operations to ensure ISO procedures and the Quality Manual is followed or revised as necessary.
- Directly supervises Warehouse Associates which includes shipping and receiving, harvest, inventory personnel.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- At least 3 years work experience with a proven track record of successful warehouse management.
- Understanding of multiple computer Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux, Redhat, Solaris8 and Solaris 10.
- Understanding of ISO requirements and compliance.
- Working ability to read and understand schematics and prints.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
