The Supply Chain Manager plays a crucial role in developing, negotiating, and implementing sourcing agreements for specific expenditure categories within the division.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Lennar collaborates with only the finest subcontractors to fulfill its manufacturing requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement among subcontractors in quality, cost, service, and delivery performance.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of material supply chains for specific expenditure categories and implement effective sourcing strategies to enhance flow through the chain.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the industry related to the major category being sourced.
  • Facilitate value-engineering discussions with subcontractors and associates from division customers.
  • Communicate proactively with all relevant associates within division customers.
  • Benchmark best practices in sourcing and supply management within the industry.
  • Develop and utilize should-cost models for specific expenditure categories and related construction services.
  • Take ownership of enhancing the division's cost per square foot for designated expenditure categories.
  • Negotiate and scrutinize pricing and the legitimacy of extra purchase orders (EPOs).
  • Review all additional EPOs to ensure compliance with approved take-offs, scopes of work, and appropriate reason codes, collaborating with the Expeditor to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Identify trends in extra EPOs to mitigate and reduce costs.
  • Rationalize the subcontractor base to ensure only the best are retained.
  • Guarantee continuity of supply and labor for the division's communities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Supply Chain Manager, ideally with a National Homebuilder.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills are essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of the residential homebuilding industry is required.
  • Strong financial acumen and project management expertise are necessary.
  • Proficiency in building and utilizing should-cost models is a must.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills are essential.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
