Responsible for sourcing all necessary components to facilitate production or prototype development. Key responsibilities include securing optimal pricing, establishing lead time agreements, resolving quality concerns, ensuring timely delivery, and managing inventory levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage in decision-making related to Master Production Schedule (MPS) loading through effective materials sizing.
Analyze, maintain, and implement the Materials Requirement Plan (MRP). Continuously oversee and verify the materials pipeline to ensure alignment with MRP requirements. Identify and address any materials supply challenges.

Guarantee the availability of materials to support production in accordance with the Master Production Schedule through MRP execution, timely delivery, and coordination of materials flow from receiving to production.

Proactively mitigate materials liabilities for Jabil by understanding ownership responsibilities (supplier/customer). Track and provide relevant data to the Business Unit Manager (BUM) to clarify customer-liable materials. Execute and optimize Jabil's negotiated terms with suppliers to minimize materials liability.

Issue Purchase Orders based on pricing, terms, and conditions negotiated and agreed upon by Jabil's Commodity Managers and Buyers.

Ensure compliance from suppliers with established agreements.
Enhance the order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers.

Maintain the integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters to reduce material liability and balance procurement costs with inventory investment levels.

Monitor and continuously enhance supplier delivery and quality performance. Address and resolve recurring or critical issues using corrective action tools and additional resources.
Assist Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies.
Provide insights to drive and implement Jabil's commodity and pricing strategy. Collaborate closely with Buyers, Commodity Managers, and Supply Chain Management (SCM). Offer feedback on supplier performance and Jabil's strategies.
Minimize freight expenses related to materials for Jabil.
Monitor, track, and provide feedback on supplier performance regarding delivery, quality, and service.
Adhere to all safety and health regulations associated with this position as directed by the supervisor.
Comply with all procedures outlined in the company security policy.
May perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to operate a personal computer, including using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
