Job Summary

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Representative to provide exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding patient service by demonstrating a calm and professional demeanor in a busy office setting.
  • Ensure efficient and positive interactions with patients and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve the goal of providing exceptional patient care.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including check-in and check-out functions, demographic and financial data entry, and collection of patient co-payments and past due balances.
  • Schedule appointments and communicate with patients in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform other related tasks to facilitate the smooth flow of patients through the practice.

Requirements:

  • A High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare-related setting or equivalent in a customer service or front desk/receptionist position.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and respect for confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Epic experience a plus.
