Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Laurel St. Dialysis. As a Dialysis Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our dialysis clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct and indirect nursing care to a primarily adult/geriatric ESRD patient population, utilizing the nursing process to assess individual patient needs, determine and implement a plan of care, and evaluate and revise the plan as needed.
  • Education and Communication: Initiate and provide ongoing patient and family education, including patient/family in care planning, and maintain effective communication with physicians, ancillary services, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Leadership and Delegation: Maintain standards of professional nursing practice, delegate tasks appropriately, and demonstrate leadership ability and organizational skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a degree in nursing (A.D.N. or nursing diploma required).
  • Licensure: Ability to license in the State of Alaska.
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills: Strong leadership ability and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Computer Software Knowledge: Proficiency in computer software, including electronic medical records and other relevant systems.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Standing and Mobility: Frequent long periods of standing, bending, stooping, walking, and sitting.
  • Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
