Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our team at Reifenstein Dialysis. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide direct patient care and support to patients undergoing dialysis treatment, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support.
  • Treatment Preparation: Prepare dialysis machines and equipment for treatment, ensuring that all necessary supplies and materials are available.
  • Transportation and Record-Keeping: Transport patients to and from treatment areas, record patient vital signs, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Education and Communication: Educate patients on dialysis procedures and equipment, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain dialysis equipment, ensuring that it is functioning properly and safely.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management and supply stocking in the dialysis clinic, ensuring that all necessary supplies and materials are available.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 3 months of dialysis, phlebotomy, or CNA/PCA experience preferred.
  • Certifications: CPR certification required within 90 days of hire; ability to distinguish primary colors and pass the Ishihara Color Vision Test.
  • Skills: Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing; basic computer skills and proficiency in clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent long periods of standing, bending, stooping, walking, and sitting; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
