Program Manager Job Description

Become an integral part of a diverse team at ManTech, a leading organization in the industry. As a Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting a large U.S. Government program at Robins AFB, GA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to program efforts in cost management, schedule estimation, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities.
  • Direct the practice of monitoring and controlling project performance, including metrics reporting, trends analysis, and project reporting to Government customers, ManTech leadership, and project/portfolio stakeholders.
  • Serve as liaison between contractor personnel, Government customers, and stakeholders, subcontractors, third-party contractor/technicians, and ManTech leadership.
  • Utilize expert communication skills to direct technical resources and report on technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents.
  • Allocate resources (staffing, facilities, and budgets) on the contract and review financial reports.
  • Ensure cross-discipline integration within the contract to meet Government needs and work with higher-level program managers to provide effective and efficient management of the contractor's effort.
  • Review and propose the Integrated Program Baseline (or resource-loaded schedule) to the Government and prepare program status reviews and other formal reviews to be presented to the Government PM.
  • Ensure the timely recruitment and training of program staff, including direct and indirect staff, and oversee staffing management, including recruiting, hiring, training, retention, assignments, and ensuring labor qualification and security clearance requirements are met.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of professional experience in program/project management.
  • Bachelor's level degree in any technical or managerial discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and management skills, excellent communication skills, and thought leadership.
  • Agility and ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment, leadership in managing multiple projects that require collaboration with remote teams of SMEs and Technical staff.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 2 Certification in Program Management or Acquisition Logistics or must be able to obtain a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Federal Acquisition Certification Program/Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) Entry Level within 1 year.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10-15 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), DoD 5000 series, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 801 policies.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 3 Certification in Program Management or Acquisition Logistics or PMP certification, FAC-P/PM.
