Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic HR consulting and coaching to business leaders to identify and solve significant people and cultural issues.
  • Develop and implement action plans to support business goals, including talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand specific business drivers, issues, and concerns, and provide expertise in aspects of employment, including hiring, termination, performance management, and rewards.
  • Support and facilitate cultural change initiatives, including training and development programs, to ensure Haworth values and best practices are applied.
  • Counsel, coach, and advise employees regarding member relations issues to promote a work atmosphere of dignity and respect aligned with corporate values.
  • Investigate employee concerns and complaints, and consult with senior HR leaders on appropriate recommendations and actions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial relations, human resources management, or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience as a Human Resources generalist or specialist, including 1 year of employee relations experience.
  • Experience counseling and coaching employees and managers in HR member relations-related situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment, and ability to maintain strict code of confidentiality and use of discretion.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships within the organization, strong influencing skills, and conflict resolution skills to resolve employee issues.
  • Business acumen to ensure actions and expenses are aligned with business goals.
