What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer to become a vital part of our Go-to-Market Systems Team. In this position, you will oversee the maintenance and support of our Salesforce environments along with other integrated technological tools. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and sustaining our business systems. You possess a natural inclination for problem-solving and are eager to address issues that hinder our sales, marketing, and support functions. Your most rewarding days are those where you assist others in resolving technical challenges. You should be adept at identifying weaknesses in our systems, addressing them or escalating appropriately, and collaborating with other GTM team members and business operations personnel to develop long-term, scalable solutions.

What will your responsibilities include?
  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions that align with business goals and technical specifications.
  • Lead discussions on technical architecture and decisions, ensuring that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and integrate smoothly with existing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Components, LWC, and other Salesforce programming languages.
  • Customize Salesforce applications through custom objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validation rules, and flows.
  • Collaborate closely with the Platform Architecture team and integrate Salesforce with other enterprise systems and third-party applications using RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Salesforce developers and consultants.
  • Guide junior team members, conduct code reviews, and ensure compliance with Salesforce best practices and coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce configuration, customization, and integrations.
  • Offer ongoing support and maintenance, including monitoring system performance and ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Create and refresh sandboxes and perform data loads into the sandboxes as necessary.
  • Gather essential requirements from business stakeholders when needed.
  • Support our Salesforce Tier 1 team with various issues.
  • Independently assess requests and troubleshoot issues to identify technical deficiencies in the systems, determine root causes, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Work autonomously and be self-sufficient in gathering additional information from the business when required.
  • Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts and Admins to debug and diagnose complex defects, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend resolutions.
What skills are required?

Salesforce Expertise:

  • Extensive experience in Salesforce development, including Lightning Components, Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Proven experience in architecting and implementing complex Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements and scalability needs.
  • In-depth understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including configuration, customization, security model, data model, and declarative automation tools (e.g., Process Builder, Workflows, Flows).

Certifications:

  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, and/or Salesforce Certified System Architect (or equivalent) are highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Salesforce customization, configuration, flows, APEX, integration, and data management.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to comprehend and address complex business requirements.

Other Skills:

  • Experience with Salesforce Administration, particularly focusing on Sales Cloud.
  • Familiarity with third-party tools such as Outreach, LeanData, Clari, Gong, Zoominfo, Zuora, Stripe, Ironclad, Docusign, etc.
  • Experience with source control tools such as Gitlab, GitHub, GearSet. Familiarity with agile methodologies, CI/CD automation, and release management tools.
  • Experience in maintaining data hygiene of a CRM utilizing Data Loader and/or Demand Tools.
Bonus skills & attributes
  • Exposure to Salesforce CPQ.
  • Experience in Sales, Sales Ops, or Marketing Ops.
