Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Director to join our team at ARK Products in Columbia, South Carolina. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader with excellent financial management skills.

About the Role

The Financial Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. You will work closely with the executive team to provide strategic guidance and support the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making by the executive team.
    • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Develop and lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
    • Develop rolling forecasts to support operational planning and resource allocation.
    • Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Cash Management:
    • Manage cash flow projections and liquidity needs to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.
    • Monitor banking activities and optimize cash balances to maximize returns and minimize costs.
    • Oversee the administration of banking relationships, including negotiation of credit facilities and other financing arrangements.
    Requirements
    • Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
      • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
      • Strong technical proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
      • Deep understanding of GAAP principles and financial controls, with experience in implementing and maintaining internal control frameworks.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
