Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an Operations Director to lead Graduate Columbia and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.

About the Role

  • This role is responsible for managing budgets, financial plans, and controlling expenditure.
  • The Operations Director will maintain statistical and financial records, set and achieve sales and profit targets, recruit, train, and monitor staff, plan work schedules for individuals and teams, meet and greet customers, deal with customer complaints and comments, address problems and troubleshoot, ensure events and conferences run smoothly, supervise maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings, deal with contractors and suppliers, ensure security is effective, and carry out inspections of property and services.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager at a similar size and type of hotel, and a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Budgeting and Financial Planning: Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and forecasts to drive business growth and profitability.
  2. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Implement processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
  4. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by meeting and greeting guests, resolving issues, and providing a memorable experience.
  5. Problem-Solving: Address problems promptly and effectively, using critical thinking and creative solutions to resolve issues.

  • Prior experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
