Job Summary

The Vice President of Finance plays a pivotal role in overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring optimal liquidity and investment returns. This position is responsible for cash management, treasury functions, and marketable securities investments, as well as tax compliance, payroll and benefits administration, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in cash forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash and Treasury Management: Oversee cash management, treasury functions, and marketable securities investments to ensure optimal liquidity and investment returns.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax-related reporting and filings in coordination with the accounting department.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Oversee human resource payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Support the CFO in analyzing the performance of the real estate property portfolio, cash flow, and financing activities. Provide insights and recommendations to drive financial performance.
  • Investment Support: Assist the President with evaluating and managing non-real estate investments, including those in technology and renewable energy sectors. Analyze potential investment opportunities and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the asset management and accounting teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness in managing financial operations and reporting.
Requirements:
  • CPA or MBA a plus.
  • Experience in cash forecasting.
  • Evaluating and reporting related to stock and bond investments.
  • Understanding of partnership taxation.
  • Experience with evaluating investment opportunities.
  • Understanding of capital markets and interest rate environment on an investment portfolio.
  • Significant financial analysis and modeling experience.
  • Experience in commercial real estate.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Spanish is a plus.
Salary Estimate

$120,000 - $180,000 per year based on location and industry standards.
