We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Organ Donation Coordinator to join our team at LifeCenter Northwest. As a key member of our organ donation team, you will play a critical role in supporting the mission of our organization by evaluating organ donor referrals, conducting medical evaluations, and developing plans to maintain the option of donation.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate organ donor referrals and conduct medical evaluations to determine suitability for donation
- Develop plans with healthcare teams to maintain the option of donation
- Support Organ Recovery Coordinators with organ donor cases, including facilitating donation after circulatory arrest donation (DCD) process
- Communicate and document Medical Examiner or Coroner conversations and release for donation
- Work closely with Donation and Family Advocates (DFA) and ORC to conduct compassionate family conversations and conduct Uniform Donor Risk Assessment Interview (UDRAI) with potential donor families
- Support in the operating room by performing organ perfusion and packaging and labeling of recovered organs
- Advanced EMT, Paramedic, Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapy with BLS and ACLS certifications, or similar background/certifications and/or OPO experience
- Valid driver's license and access to an insured automobile or the ability to arrive and depart from work- and work-related functions at expected times
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, or applicable medical or religious exemption
LifeCenter Northwest offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment insurance, long-term disability insurance, and travel accident insurance. Employees also have the option of enrolling in supplemental life insurance and participating in our 403(b) program with an employer match of up to 7% after one year. Additionally, employees enjoy paid holidays throughout the calendar year and earn 119 hours of PTO annually (to start) with an additional Extended Illness Bank of hours that accrues up to 48 hours annually, and three weeks of paid parental leave after one year of service is complete.
CompensationThe pay range for this role is $71,020 - $103,008, with opportunities for additional compensation through Extra Call Pay, Extra Call Worked, and Holiday Stipend Pay.
