Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse

Desert Regional Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider in the region, and we are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Performance Improvement RN to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Trauma Performance Improvement RN will play a critical role in monitoring all aspects of care and ensuring that our trauma program meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This position will work closely with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director to identify opportunities for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze trauma data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans to address identified issues
- Collaborate with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director to ensure that all guidelines and protocols are consistent with the care being provided
- Provide education and training to staff on trauma care and performance improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects
Requirements:
- Current California RN license
- Minimum of five years trauma nursing experience (ED or ICU)
- Knowledge of trauma statistical reports, peer review, performance improvement, and injury prevention
- Ability to create and make data presentations to groups with varied needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. The Trauma Performance Improvement RN will be required to work collaboratively with other departments and teams to achieve quality and safety goals.
