Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse to join our team at Desert Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our trauma program, you will play a critical role in monitoring all aspects of care and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the trauma program in monitoring all aspects of care, including patient safety and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with the trauma program manager and medical director to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Manage the performance improvement program, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as corporate and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects, including data-driven decision making.
  • Develop and maintain databases and reports to track and analyze trauma data.
  • Provide education and training to staff on trauma-related topics and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the trauma administrative team to ensure that all guidelines and protocols are consistent with the care being provided.
Requirements
  • Current California RN license
  • Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum of five years trauma nursing experience (ED or ICU)
  • Knowledge of trauma statistical reports, peer review, performance improvement, and injury prevention
  • Ability to create and make data presentations to groups with varied needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Working Conditions

This position has responsibility for the assessment, treatment, or care of patients in the following age groups: Neonate (5%), Pediatric (10%), Adolescent (25%), Adult (30%), and Geriatric (30%).

Shift: Days

Hours: 8hr

Pay Range: $69.86
