Key Responsibilities

  • Offer assistance and encouragement to individuals to foster personal growth and autonomy.
  • Ensure a secure environment and prioritize the health and safety of those in your care.
  • Guide individuals in essential daily living skills and social interactions.
  • Establish a customized and welcoming setting within the residential facility.
  • Participate in meetings, prepare reports, and respond to emergencies with empathy and efficiency.
  • Administer first aid when necessary and seek appropriate assistance during emergencies.
  • Execute behavioral strategies and contribute to multidisciplinary care plans.
  • Perform housekeeping, meal preparation, and other routine tasks to uphold a safe environment.
  • Oversee staff and ensure program quality is maintained.
  • Facilitate proper medication management and assist with personal hygiene requirements.
  • Provide leadership in the absence of senior management.
  • Engage in staff training and scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

  • A valid New York State Driver's License is required.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is necessary; relevant experience is advantageous.
  • Must be certified as Approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP).

COMPENSATION: $20.09/hour + Comprehensive Benefits
