Position Overview:

As a key member of the laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the lab environment. Your role will include:

  • Management of Laboratory Activities: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including the oversight of inventory for raw materials and lab supplies.
  • Sample Inventory Coordination: Handle the management of samples for stability, development, and testing, particularly focusing on highly potent compounds.
  • Equipment Oversight: Take charge of managing storage devices and essential laboratory equipment to guarantee seamless operational flow.
  • Team Liaison: Act as the primary contact for the lab team, addressing service requests, delegating tasks, and fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in hands-on management of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including contracts, maintenance, repairs, calibrations, upgrades, and retirements.
  • Support inventory management through specialized software designed for tracking toxin/select agent materials.
  • Conduct annual inventory reconciliation activities in collaboration with team members.
  • Prepare and coordinate the shipment of samples, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) department to uphold compliance with internal and external guidelines related to toxin/select agent materials, lab incident management, exposure risk assessments, chemical hygiene, and hazard communication.
  • Perform regular inspections of laboratory equipment to ensure functionality and coordinate necessary repairs with the engineering team.
  • Assist in the preparation of drug product manufacturing activities, including the formulation of common buffers to maintain quality consistency.
  • Work closely with procurement and laboratory teams to manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets and oversee the ordering of lab assets and service contracts.
