Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our Blood Bank team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to ensure the safe and accurate transfusion of blood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to ensure the quality and safety of blood products
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of test results and procedures
  • Participate in quality assurance and compliance functions to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  • Oversee the work of technical support staff and participate in staff training and development
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Current CA CLS License
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work variable shifts and overtime as required
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
